One look at the gallery from Natalie and John’s big day and it’s evident that their wedding epitomized downtown sophistication and genuine Old Chicago style. However, it takes a look behind the lens to truly appreciate how they wove generational love stories and personal histories into their wedding. Most notably, Natalie and John chose to get married on July 20th at Chicago Athletic Association – the exact same venue Natalie’s parents celebrated their wedding at thirty years prior. For Natalie and John, getting married at Chicago Athletic Association was not just a decision to celebrate their love amidst Old Chicago glamour and grandeur, it was a decision to honor another love story, inextricably and eternally tied to their own. The honorable gesture was palpable throughout the day as Natalie and John recreated couple portrait poses from her parents’ wedding photos, as John shared a Father of the Bride speech that tugged at everyone’s heart strings, and as stories old and new were shared throughout the evening.
