Capturing Elizabeth and Tyler’s journey to their wedding day encapsulated the best of downtown Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. EV Photography blog readers may remember their downtown Chicago engagement session featured in the EVP Engagement Session Guide and blog post 10 Ideas for Your Dream Engagement Session. Elizabeth and Tyler were dressed to the nines during their engagement session in front of the Wrigley Building and on the Chicago Riverwalk. You would have never guessed that the session took place during Chicago’s notoriously unpredictable October fall weather as the warm sun sparkled off of their champagne glasses, the windows of the skyscrapers, and off the surface of the Chicago River.

Almost exactly one year later, we joined Elizabeth and Tyler again – this time to celebrate their wedding day! Elizabeth got ready at Hotel Indigo in downtown Naperville – arguably one of the best downtown destinations in the suburbs and with a charming riverwalk in its own right. Once ready, Elizabeth rode to the wedding venue in the unparalleled luxury of a Rolls Royce. The couple shared an intimate first look in front of the main Arrowhead Golf Club building in Wheaton before Tyler got to join Elizabeth in the comfort and luxury of the Rolls Royce.

The couple hit the Chicago fall weather jackpot again as their outdoor ceremony began. The warmth of summer still lingered in the air, and the golf course still featured deep green, lush vegetation. One glance up and wedding guests could already see the fiery red and orange leaves of Chicago fall. The relationship between the new bride and groom was the real epicenter of the day’s joy and warmth though. Elizabeth’s mother had passed away when she was seventeen, just several months into her relationship with Tyler. Tyler’s gentleness and compassion had drawn the couple even closer together. Unfortunately, Tyler lost his father not long before their wedding day and the two again had relied on each other during the difficult season. Their wedding day was filled with heartfelt and intentional nods to those who could not celebrate in person with them as Elizabeth and Tyler embarked on the newest chapter of their already endearing love story.
